Our wines
We take pride in the process for making Debevino. Our grapes are sustainably grown in California’s prestigious Napa Valley Region and produced locally with minimal chemical intervention for a delicious, clean wine that reflects the character of the grape, the flavors of the region and the talents of our winemakers.
The Debevino difference
Location
There is no more important factor in the quality of the wine than the source of its grapes. You can trace the origin of our fruit to a fertile valley in Northern California, between San Francisco and Sacramento. Harvested at their peak from the Suisun Valley, where growing conditions benefit from air that flows in from the Pacific, our hand-picked grapes are shipped in refrigerated trucks, reaching us in about four days.
Handcrafted
Debevino is crushed, fermented, pressed and bottled by third generation vintners who employ hands-on winemaking methods. Most commercial wines contain stabilizers and preservatives, elevated levels of sulfites, and chemicals or adjuncts to add color, alter flavor and correct flaws from subpar grapes. But not Debevino. Our natural process with limited use of sulfites and no added sugar gives Debevino its distinctive difference.
Honest and authentic
We know consumers have many wine choices, but few as unique and special as Debevino. We are confident that you will recognize the honest and authentic taste of our wines. We learned the craft in the wine cellars of our family homes, and have taken that foundational training into a modern winery setting. From a farm in California to your table, we hope our wines provide you with the ultimate pleasure for your palate.
Our varieties
THE Reds
Sangiovese (Avellino)
Named Avellino for the province in southern Italy where Debevino traces its ancestry, this widely planted red varietal from Northern California is medium-bodied. It opens with aromas of strawberry, cherry and plums. On the palate, it is savory and smooth with flavors of figs. Enjoy with pasta, pork, chicken and barbecued meats.
Amici
A Super Tuscan-style blend inspired by our Italian heritage, Amici is a fruit-forward wine that presents dried cherry, plum and sweet black currant flavors. A blend of Zinfandel, Malbec and Sangiovese, it is medium bodied with supple tannins and baking spice and floral notes.
Malbec
Black cherries and plums are joined by notes of violets and vanilla on the nose. On the palate, Debevino Malbec is rich and full-bodied with flavors of juicy blackberries, cranberries and black currants. This wine goes well with leaner red meats, turkey and roasted pork.
Zinfandel
This bold and vibrant varietal will keep your taste buds busy! Delicious flavors of dark, ripe fruit jump out of the glass and onto the palate. Our Zin is medium-bodied, with a soft mouthfeel and baking spice notes. Pairs well with red meats and pasta drenched in tomato sauce.
Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir is a bright, soft wine that features flavors of cherry, raspberry and stawberry. The palate gives way to baking spices and clove. A deliciously light-bodied wine, it pairs well with roasted chicken, salmon or a nutty cheese such as Gruyère.
Cabernet Sauvignon
This rich, full-bodied, lush Debevino Cab is overflowing with flavors of cherry, spice, cedar and mocha. Blessed with bright characteristics and well balanced with smooth tannins and integrated oak, it is a special occasion wine that is both drinkable now but rewards you with age.
Petite Sirah
Inky in color and consistency, it coats your glass with a dark, ruby color. Our Petite features big flavors of dark fruit, dark chocolate, black pepper and cigar. A bold and complex wine, it pairs well with bold dishes like barbecued beef, braised pork and a hearty steak.
Barbera
A deep ruddy color, easy mouthfeel and low tannins highlight this medium-bodied fruit bomb. It has aromas of rich raspberry and overripe plums and is full of blackberry, vanilla and light oak flavor. Enjoy with rich foods like dark meats, pasta with hearty red sauces, BBQ and herbaceous cheeses..
THE Whites
Sauvignon Blanc
A rich, smooth and expressive wine that exhibits a lively bouquet with aromas of peach, lemon and pineapple. Crisp and clean with tropical and citrus flavors of lime, grapefruit and passion fruit. Pair it with seafood, chicken and spicy dishes.
Chardonnay
Take in its welcoming nose of honeysuckle, green apple and lemon before treating the palate to this lush, full-bodied wine. It directs you into a tropical zone that features pineapple, peach and bright citrus flavors and pairs well with pasta, seafood, pork and poultry.
Quattro
A blend of four popular varieties that create an intriguing mix of white wines called Quattro, the Italian word for "four." It is composed of equal parts Chardonnay and Riesling, with 20% Sauvignon Blanc to add citrus notes and 16% Pinot Gris for body.
Pinot Grigio
Fresh and bright with notes of melon, pear and crème brûlée, the crisp, citrus fruit and rich flavors sweep over your palate. Try it with fresh seafood or light pasta dishes, or on its own as an aperitif on those warm summer evenings.
Rozzi Rose’
Nicknamed for our hometown of Roslindale, this crisp and refreshing rose’ is made with Sangiovese grapes and a bit of Gamay. Its inviting pink color with a nose of strawberry, watermelon and citrus set the stage for flavors of fresh strawberry, cherry and peach. Enjoy this semi-sweet wine with light pasta and seafood. Rozzi rules!
Riesling
A crisp but delicate light-bodied wine with aromas of tropical fruits, honey and custard. Peach and tangerine flavors highlight this off-dry wine, with a hint of leftover sugar on the palate. Enjoy it with spicy chicken, fish, Mexican and Asian foods.
Dolce Riesling
Perfectly sweet in every way, honey and tropical aromas of pineapple and mango greet the nose, while peach and tangerine highlight the palate. This light-bodied but rich Riesling is fruit forward but well-balanced with a crisp profile.
